The HIGHCOM Guardian AR1000 is a lightweight, stand-alone steel armor plate engineered to provide superior Level III+ rifle protection. Constructed from Ultra High Hardness (UHH) Armor Steel, this plate is NIJ 0101.06 compliant and listed on the NIJ Compliant Product List (CPL), ensuring verified ballistic performance and trusted reliability.

Unlike conventional AR500 plates, the AR1000 sets itself apart as one of the first steel armor plates to meet NIJ 0101.06 standards and also holds DEA compliance—giving law enforcement, security professionals, and military personnel the confidence they need in high-threat environments.

Each plate is finished with Rhino Extreme 11-50—a military-grade polyurea anti-spall coating—to significantly reduce dangerous fragmentation upon ballistic impact
