Atrius Forced Reset Selector

$199.00

The Atrius Forced Reset Selector (FRS) is the most robust three-position selector solution on the market, engineered to give the shooter a true advantage: SAFE, SEMI (traditional), and SUPER-SEMI. Built for mil-spec AR-15 fire control groups chambered in .223 / 5.56 / .300 BLK, the Atrius FRS installs as a drop-in replacement with no fire-control modifications required, delivering rock-solid engagement and repeatable performance for range, competition, and field use (including hunting setups).

Reliability was central to the design. The Atrius FRS is optimized for mil-spec triggers that do not have a relief cut—i.e., the rear of the bottom half of the trigger must be completely squared off (not a U-notch). Your lower receiver must feature an FA pocket or low shelf, and the system must be used with an FA bolt carrier group. We strongly recommend H2 or H3 buffer weights to ensure consistent, reliable operation across shooting conditions.

Performance highlights include an ultra-smooth, crisp 90° throw with tactile clicks and engineered positive positioning to eliminate slippage or accidental movement during use. The mechanically leveraged FRS design reduces wear on internal rifle components compared with many forced-reset trigger systems, extending service life. Aggressive, chamfered ergonomics and textured surfaces give immediate, confident thumb purchase under stress or while wearing gloves. Constructed from heat-treated 4140 steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, the Atrius FRS is built to resist the elements and the rigors of heavy use.

Installation is straightforward — swap your factory selector and be back behind the trigger in minutes (some fitment may be required depending on lower tolerances). Proudly Made in the USA.

Description

COMPATIBILITY NOTICE:

  • Certain platforms, such as AR9 variants, may require professional gunsmithing to ensure proper function of the selector lever.
  • Firearms modified to “Super Safety” specifications may not be compatible with components designed for our FRS system, as the Atrius Safety Device features a solid lever cam design.
  • The Super Safety system incorporates a 15-degree tolerance due to its dovetail construction, which may allow for limited over-travel before the cam surface disengages from the trigger bar.
  • Selector Screw and Torque Spec: T10 screw, 4/40 thread, McMaster-Carr spring (9657K619). We recommend 15 in/lbs with blue loctite only.

  • Please Note: This Atrius FRS will not work with AR-10(LR308)/SR-25 platforms without significant gunsmithing. In the near future we will be coming out with a model specifically catered to these platforms.
  • Important: All modifications should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Improper installation or unauthorized modification may result in malfunction or unsafe operation. Use and modify at your own risk. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages or injuries resulting from incorrect installation or use outside of intended specifications.

This device allows your trigger if properly installed, when selected, to become an “eligible FRT” meeting the following 5 conditions as set by the DOJ (NAGR v. Garland) to define “eligible FRT”

  • The FRT is forcibly reset to its forward reset state after each round fired;
  • The FRT is locked mechanically in its reset state preventing the trigger from moving until the firearm is safe to fire
  • The hammer must be released from its sear surface for every round fired;
  • The trigger in an FRT-equipped firearm must reset after every round fired;
  • Preventing the reset will cause the weapon to malfunction
